This tool allows designers to look up floor deck maximum spans based on various specification options.
The ‘Maximum Un-propped Spans’ results section matches the single and double span results when running calculations in the Elements® Design Software. These tables are based on criteria listed in the technical design table notes.
As well as the maximum spans, the app also provides the Volume of Concrete, Weight of Concrete and the Total Volume of Concrete based on the Area.

" - " = Mesh size or fire insulation thickness is insufficient.
" ** " = Top mesh cover of 22mm – Where this is not achievable due to the shallow concrete cover above the profile, no span value is shown. It may be possible to achieve slab design in these situations by reducing top mesh cover or providing special mesh laps to enable nesting. For more information refer to www.smdltd.co.uk/tgn .
