Also known as London Heathrow (LHR), it is a major international airport in London. Heathrow is the second busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic. In 2017, it handled a record 78m passengers.

Terminal 5 is designed to handle more than 35 million passengers a year. Opened in 2008, the main building is the largest free-standing structure in the UK. Terminal 5 is currently used  exclusively by British Airways and Iberia. The building cost £4 billion and took almost 20 years from conception to completion, including the longest public inquiry in British history
