The acoustic performance of a composite slab is a function of both the mass of the slab and the floor and ceiling finishes applied. Robust Standard Details are available to provide performance in accordance with Building Regulations Part E utilising a number of different finishes for both the ceiling and floor. The detailing of such finishes is key to provide the acoustic performance required.
